Job Summary
As a Pallet Controller, you will be responsible for managing hire and returnable equipment across various depots and regional branches.
* Effective management of hire and returnable equipment is crucial in ensuring seamless operations and minimizing losses.
Key Responsibilities:
* Data entry and document management: Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all transactions related to hire and returnable equipment.
* Debriefing and processing of inbound paperwork: Efficiently process and reconcile all inbound paperwork to ensure accuracy and completeness.
* Reconciliation of drivers' daily run sheets: Reconcile drivers' daily run sheets to ensure that all hire equipment is accounted for.
* Internal depot movements reconciliation: Manage and reconcile internal depot movements daily to minimize discrepancies.
* Regional agent network tracking and reconciliation: Track and reconcile hire equipment across the regional agent network.
* Equipment management through Border Express internal system and pallet control software: Effectively manage hire equipment through Border Express internal system and pallet control software (Pallet Watch).
* Discrepancy investigation and recovery: Investigate all discrepancies (inbound / outbound) and ensure recovery of equipment.
* Monthly equipment counts and holdings management: Facilitate monthly equipment counts and manage pallet holdings regularly.
* Chep and Loscam reconciliations: Perform monthly Chep and Loscam reconciliations, including un-invoiced transactions, rejections & corrections.
* Process implementation and compliance: Ensure all standard pallet processes and procedures are implemented, regularly audited, and non-compliances addressed.
* Process gaps identification and improvement: Identify process gaps, inefficiencies, and areas of improvement to mitigate losses.
* Project management: Oversee projects related to pallet management and control.
* Training and compliance: Facilitate internal training sessions and attend toolbox meetings to drive compliance across depots.
* Branch management: Remotely manage/audit regional company-owned branches.
* Reporting and analysis: Achieve reporting cadences as required/requested.
* Collaboration with local operations and national pallet control team: Work collaboratively with the local operations and national pallet control team to drive effective management and standardization across the business.
Requirements:

* Preferred experience in Pallet Control.
* Previous experience in Warehouse, Logistics, and Transport Industry.
