The opportunity
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Permits Coordinator to join a highly regarded and well-established residential home builder with a strong presence across Melbourne and Regional Victoria.
With continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, this business is seeking a motivated and organised individual to support the pre-construction team across permit applications and approvals.
The successful applicant will have the flexibility to work from either the Geelong or Ballarat office, along with 1 day per week working from home.
The Role Working closely with internal departments, councils, and external stakeholders, your responsibilities will include:
* Preparing and lodging building and planning permit applications
* Managing approvals through to issue
* Liaising with councils, consultants, surveyors, and clients
* Monitoring permit timelines and following up outstanding documentation
* Maintaining accurate records and updating internal systems
* Assisting the wider pre-site team to ensure smooth project progression
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
* Previous experience in permits coordination, pre-site, or residential construction administration
* Strong understanding of the residential building process
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
* A proactive and team-focused attitude
* Experience using construction management software will be highly regarded
