About The Role

Position Classification : Registered Nurse

Remuneration : $36.39 - $51.09 per hour + 12% Super + Salary Packaging

Hours Per Week : Up to 38

Location : Armidale Hospital

Role Details

This is an exciting opportunity for Registered Nurses with a passion for the best possible patient care who would like to support the Emergency Department (ED) with their experience in the space. The Registered Nurse will be required to triage, treat and transfer patients, provide ALS, cannulation and venepunctures as required. If you enjoy the fast pace and variety that comes with Emergency Nursing, then we want to hear from you.

You won’t be working alone – you will be provided with a thorough orientation process including supernumerary days and will also be supported by Clinical Nurse Educators and the Nurse Unit Manager. The ED team is welcoming, supportive and collaborative, and is ready for you to join. Staff are encouraged and supported to pursue ongoing professional development and education opportunities.

Safe staffing levels will ensure patient care is delivered safely and effectively, with staff feeling supported to provide the best outcomes, maintain patient safety, and contribute to a positive and sustainable work environment.

Where You’ll Be Working

Armidale is the main hub of the New England High Country and is known for its 19th-century churches and heritage architecture. It is a graceful city of tree-lined streets, approximately five-and-a-half hours' drive from Sydney and less than 90 minutes from Tamworth, with daily flights between Sydney and Armidale. The area is surrounded by forests, mountain gorges, national parks and waterfalls, including Wollomombi Falls.

Requirements

- Registered Nurse with current Authority to Practice with AHPRA

Additional Information

- An eligibility list will be created for future permanent full-time or part-time and temporary vacancies.
- To be eligible for permanent employment you must be an Australian Citizen, or a permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current Recent Zealand Passport. Temporary visa holders may be considered only if no suitable local candidate is identified, and in line with visa conditions.
