Cairns Harbourside Hotel is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our vibrant team and ensure every guest room and public area reflects the tropical calm and care we're known for.

With 173 stylish rooms and suites, ocean and mountain views, event facilities, and our locally loved Harbourside Bar & Kitchen—our hotel blends genuine service with the warmth of Far North Queensland.
What's the Role...
As Housekeeping Supervisor, you'll support the Housekeeping Manager in delivering consistently high cleanliness and presentation standards across our 173 guest rooms and public spaces. You'll coach, coordinate and energise the team to deliver results—while fostering a positive, supportive environment.
About You:
* Prior experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor (hotel or similar) preferred
* Knowledge of professional cleaning techniques and chemical handling
* Strong time management skills and a can‐do attitude
* Physical stamina to work on your feet for long periods, lift, bend, and support team operations
* Eye for detail and commitment to maintaining presentation standards
* Positive, effective communicator and team motivator skills to collaborate with other staff members.
* Available to work weekends, public holidays, and peak periods as needed
What You'll Do:
* Supervise, train and motivate housekeeping and public areas staff, to maintain the cleanliness, and presentation standards of our guest rooms and common areas.
* Work with Executive Housekeeper to ensure the departmental performance of staff is compliant, safe and efficient.
* Perform room allocations, inspections and deep cleans as required.
* Monitor and manage the inventory and proper use of cleaning supplies and equipment.
* Conduct shift briefings to ensure hotel activities & operational requirements are clear.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues and other departments to achieve positive guest outcomes.
