Job Description:
The primary objective of this role is to manage stakeholders and suppliers, ensuring successful commercial and contractual delivery of products and services to the business. This involves supporting the Head of Sourcing Portfolio and/or Executive Manager in delivering Group Procurement objectives while managing and controlling the operation of contracts between Westpac Group and suppliers.
This position requires a professional with exceptional negotiation skills, able to effectively communicate with internal stakeholders and external experts to achieve continuous improvements in commercial outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial management, including experience in negotiating and managing large contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
* Negotiate and manage IT contracts in accordance with group principles and processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Commercial management experience, including contract negotiation and management.
* A background in software procurement is highly desirable but not essential.
* Demonstrable experience in managing senior stakeholder relationships internally and with suppliers.
* Highly developed negotiation skills, demonstrating commercial and business acumen and pragmatism.
* Ability to develop and implement sourcing strategies.
* Understanding of relevant business and technology products and services.
* Tertiary qualifications in business, management, and/or legal studies or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
