Leading a team of scientific and technical staff, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations of the laboratory.
The position requires effective management of human resources, monitoring department performance metrics, and decision making around service requirements and improvements.
* A Bachelor Degree in Science/Medical Laboratory Science or an equivalent recognised qualification is required.
* Proven leadership and operational management skills and experience are essential, including budget management and maintenance of professional standards and accreditation within organisational frameworks.
* Demonstrated experience with quality improvement and risk management, as well as change management and use of financial, statistical, and human resources data to improve laboratory efficiency and effectiveness, is necessary.
