Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Speech Pathologist to join our team in the Northern Territory. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in paediatric communication cases, outpatient services, and community outreach.
The region is diverse with a high migrant population and a significant Aboriginal presence. The role involves occasional travel to remote communities by 4WD or light aircraft, staying overnight during weekdays.
The multidisciplinary team consists of occupational therapists, physiotherapists, public health dietitians, an allied health assistant, and a team leader. Competitive locum rates and free accommodation for locums are offered, along with reimbursement for return travel.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide high-quality communication therapy services to children and adults
* Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to achieve patient outcomes
* Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
* Conduct home visits and outreach programs as required
Requirements:
* Degree in Speech Pathology
* Registration with the relevant professional body
* Proven experience working in paediatric communication cases
* Strong knowledge of community health principles and practices
