An Australian owned pharmaceutical manufacturing company is currently seeking a Desktop Support specialist / IT All rounder to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a hybrid role.
**Responsibilities**:
- Work independently as the IT point of contact for the company (liaising with their IT service provider)
- Install, configure, and upgrade computer systems and peripherals.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, ensuring mínimal disruption to user productivity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address technical challenges and enhance user experience.
- Assist with testing updates and changes
Documentation:
- Regular Schedule Maintenance documentation including software updates
- Maintain detailed records of technical support activities, including issue resolution and preventive maintenance.
- Create and update documentation for standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to desktop support.
- Document hardware and software inventory
- Perform routine system health checks and optimizations to ensure optimal performance.
Key Skills / Experience:
- Excellent documentation experience
- Ability to work autonomously (only IT person in Sydney, working closely with a service provider)
- Proven experience in desktop support or IT technical support role
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skill
