As the Electrical Design Draftsperson for Austal Defence Australia you'll be providing and supporting the design of the vessel from concept through to delivery, on time and on budget.

What's Involved
* Develop accurate, build‐ready electrical drawings and technical documentation
* Ensure designs meet specifications, standards, and compliance requirements
* Support production by delivering clear, timely, and practical design outputs
* Collaborate with engineers, production teams, and stakeholders
* Identify and resolve design issues within your area of expertise
* Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation initiatives
You'll Need
* Formal drafting qualification (or equivalent experience)
* Robust experience in electrical drafting, ideally within marine or heavy industry
* Proficiency in AutoCAD, ShipConstructor, and Microsoft Office
* Solid understanding of technical specifications, standards, and design processes
* Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
* A proactive mindset with ownership of your work and outcomes
* Eligibility for a Defence Security Clearance
