Experience Sought
* Services are to be provided by personnel experienced in configuration management as practitioners and trainers and have a number of years of experience in the practical application of the theory of configuration management processes.
* Services are to be provided commensurate with relevant Australian and International Standards, regulations, and Defence requirements.
* Service providers are to employ industry best practice when undertaking the Services. All work and deliverables are to be provided in accordance with Contract.
* The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the below criteria:
*
o Ability to perform an extensive range and variety of complex technical work activities with limited guidance demonstrating initiative, creativity and responsibility;
o Demonstrated experience with systems and safety, security and managing technical risk;
o Experience working in complex and challenging environments;
o Experience working in a complex stakeholder system;
o Builds appropriate and effective business relationships;
o Communicates effectively both formally and informally including advanced technical writing skills;
o Takes initiative to keep skills up to date, maintaining awareness of developments and continuous improvement opportunities;
o Ability to analyse, design, plan, execute, and evaluate work to time, cost and quality targets while assessing and evaluating risk; and
o Establishes milestones and has significant influence over the allocation and management of resources appropriate to given assignments.
Essential Experience and / or Qualifications
* A qualified practitioner with a recognised Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Level 7 qualification in a relevant engineering or technical domain, or relevant skills and work experience such that an individual can reasonably achieve a recognised AQF qualification if required by the position.
Highly Desirable Experience and / or Qualifications
* Defence and/or CASG project engineering experience (Systems Engineering Management Plan, Technical Certification Plans, and Requirements Management etc.);
* Knowledge/experience of Defence Configuration Management (CCMF) and associated systems/applications such as Configuration Management Tool Land (CMT-L) and Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORS);
* Defence sustainment experience;
* Understanding of Defences CLC and FIC; and
* Already have or ability to obtain a Negative Vetting 1 Security Clearance.
