Refrigeration Maintenance Coordinator
Full‐time, permanent opportunity. Salary $95,361 – $102,302 plus 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 6). Additional allowance paid on top of base salary. Located primarily at UQ.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate statutory, preventative and corrective maintenance activities for refrigeration and associated mechanical systems.
* Provide specialist refrigeration and plant advice to clients, contractors and internal stakeholders.
* Undertake fault‐finding and contribute to maintenance works within area of expertise as required.
* Oversee asset condition, maintenance programs and project milestones to ensure safety, compliance and continuity of operations.
* Supervise and coordinate contractors to ensure works are completed to specification, on schedule and within budget.
* Build trusted relationships with key stakeholders and deliver high‐quality client service.
* Identify opportunities to improve service delivery, plant performance and cost‐effectiveness.
* Maintain compliance with all University policies, procedures and safety standards.
* Promote a strong safety culture and participate in an after‐hours on‐call roster.

Qualifications
* QLD Refrigerant Handling Licence (Restricted Electrical Licence highly desirable).
* Refrigeration trade background with hands‐on experience in maintaining refrigeration and mechanical plant systems.
* Experience working in large, complex facilities such as research, laboratory, health, industrial or institutional environments.
* Strong problem‐solving skills and sound judgement in managing competing maintenance priorities.
* Ability to build productive working relationships and act as a trusted adviser to clients.
* Well‐developed communication, coordination and influencing skills.
* Willingness to undertake further training as required.
* Availability to participate in an after‐hours on‐call roster.
Sound Knowledge Of
* Large reticulated chilled water systems.
* Refrigeration plant and associated mechanical systems.
* First‐line fault‐finding on fume cupboards.
* Compressed air and vacuum systems.
* Building Management Systems (BMS).
