About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Safety, Health and Wellbeing Manager (SHWM) to provide direction and leadership to support a safe and healthy workplace. The successful candidate will lead service delivery Health, Safety and Wellbeing initiatives along with Injury Management across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement strategies that foster a safe and healthy workplace through innovation.
* Ensure occupational health and safety policies, procedures, activities and events comply with Victorian OH&S legislation, regulations, compliance codes and standards.
* Lead change and drive our safety-first culture as the most senior Work, Health and Safety practitioner.
* Manage Northeast Health's injury management and rehabilitation function, including workers compensation claims and reporting requirements.
* Chair the broader NHW OH&S Committee and actively engage and support Health and Safety Representatives to make a positive contribution to safety initiatives.
