Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled professional to coordinate the delivery of infection prevention and control services across Southern Tasmania. The successful candidate will work closely with our infection prevention team to develop and implement evidence-based strategies to prevent and control infections.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate the delivery of infection prevention and control services, including surveillance, auditing, education, and policy review.
* Develop and implement risk management activities and processes to minimize the risk of infection transmission.
* Provide dedicated specialist support to employees managing patients with complex healthcare-associated infections.
* Collaborate with the Nurse Manager - Infection Prevention and Control Unit to plan, develop, and administer policies and procedures for the delivery and development of infection prevention and control services.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* A Registered Nurse qualification and registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
* Holds or working towards a relevant postgraduate qualification.
