Job Overview
The Technical Services division is looking to hire an Environmental Field Technician to work and support the Environmental/Industrial Hygiene practice area in Central Miami Dade County and/or Broward County.
The position will include field assessment/sampling, research, and report preparation.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide environmental technical services to clients as well as environmental site surveys, site investigations, and project management/oversight for asbestos, lead, and mold remediation projects.
* Perform visual site inspections that may require collecting samples; then evaluate analytical data from samples collected and write comprehensive, technical reports describing the site and the work performed.
* Understand and evaluate compliance with regard to State and Federal health and safety regulations, laws, rules, and codes.
* Assist senior consultants with more complex environmental projects, data collection, and proposals.
* Interface effectively with field consultants, management, and client organizations.
* Communicate with clients effectively and provide project solutions.
Requirements
Minimum two years of undergraduate college studies in geosciences, environmental sciences, environmental engineering, civil engineering, or a related area of study.
Valid State of Florida Asbestos Inspectors License and Valid State of Florida Asbestos Supervisor License are preferred.
* Current training certificates in NIOSH 582, Radon technician, IAQ CIEC, Mold Inspector, and EPA Lead Paint Inspector/Risk Assessor.
* Valid State Florida Driver's License.
* Located in Miami-Dade County or southern Broward County.
Skills and Behaviors
* Demonstrate the ability to use a variety of field equipment in the various parameters certified in.
* Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communications skills, analytical thinking, and computer proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
* Understand and demonstrate project management skills.
* Able to effectively prioritize tasks and practice daily efficient time management to complete assignments.
* Detail oriented to provide excellent technical service to our clients on a consistent basis.
