In this role, you will lead a high performing team to support the growth of a strong, diversified, globally connected and high-value local manufacturing industry.You will also identify and evaluate future directions and industry trends, develop and deliver innovative programs and projects to respond to current and emerging issues, facilitate manufacturing capacity and capability, and promote the growth of South Australia’s manufacturing industry.More Specifically, You WillLead a high performing team in the strategic planning, delivery and evaluation of complex programs and services that foster industry and government collaboration, to drive South Australia’s economic transitionLead the research and analysis of complex information and data to identify, evaluate and communicate critical risks, issues, trends and opportunities,Develop and maintain professional, trusted and collaborative relationships, partnerships and networks with key stakeholders across state and Commonwealth government agencies and the manufacturing sector, to maximise opportunities for South Australian manufacturers.Collaborate across the Department to formulate strategies, frameworks, policies and practices which drive manufacturing centric programs, service delivery and related governanceLead and prepare briefing papers, Cabinet submissions, reports and responses to Ministerial enquiries, and represent the Department on relevant local and national committees and working parties.Key CompetenciesTo succeed in the role, you will be able to demonstrate:Contemporary knowledge of the South Australian manufacturing sector, international, national and South Australian economies, and the risks, opportunities and trends affecting manufacturing growth and sustainability in South Australia.Extensive experience in leading and managing the strategic planning, development and delivery of complex projects of critical importance to an organisation and/or the public sector, including leading high performing teams, and managing significant human and financial resources.Extensive experience in leading and undertaking high level research and analysis including leading strategic partnering and collaboration with government, business and industry stakeholders in the development of targeted plans and programs for the manufacturing sector.High level knowledge of program and project management, including governance, assurance and change management principles and practices, with knowledge of government policies, priorities, processes and accountabilities.You Will Also DemonstrateThe ability to think strategically, conceptually and creatively to analyse and resolve complex problems and propose evidence-based recommendations at both strategic and operational levels.Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a growth mindset, including a high-level ability to advise, articulate, document and present complex concepts clearly and concisely to a diverse range of stakeholders, negotiate and give and receive feedback in a professional manner.The capacity to build relationships of trust and to engage, collaborate, influence and advise government and industry stakeholders at all levels to drive successful outcomes and achieve change and growth in organisational capability and outcomes.The ability to operate under very broad direction, focused on continuous improvement, and to exercise significant levels of leadership and judgement, to determine goals and manage competing strategic priorities, that
