Role Overview
The Senior Manufacturing Engineering Associate is part of the Operations Engineering team, collaborating with engineers to create and maintain bills of materials, job routings, assembly procedures and other manufacturing documentation workflows.
This individual supports SAP globally throughout the product lifecycle from new product introduction through obsolescence. They participate in cross-functional teams supporting continuous improvement initiatives, automation activities, new product introduction, and manufacturing issue resolution.
Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain manufacturing assembly procedures and SOPs, along with related engineering change requests.
* Create ECRs and documentation for releasing or modifying tooling and equipment design files.
* Establish and maintain bill of materials routings and labor standards in SAP.
* Participate in teams driving continuous improvement, automation, new product introductions, and resolving manufacturing issues.
* Maintain the Waters kit verification system in SAP.
* Manage country of origin, production version, and material master as necessary in SAP.
* Document kits in support of contract manufacturers.
* Determine and document packaging requirements for kits and materials.
* Support manufacturing and test engineers as needed.
Qualifications
Requirements:
* High school diploma; vocational or certificate program, or relevant associate degree (Mechanical / Electrical /Process Engineering), preferred.
* Minimum five to eight years of related experience.
* Ability to comprehend mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and fluidic schematics.
* Proficiency in Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office.
* Self-motivated with ability to manage projects simultaneously with limited supervision.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Desirable Skills:
* CAD experience (Solid Works / SAP Right Hemisphere).
* SAP experience.
* Lean Six Sigma expertise.
* Experience working in medical or regulated industries.
