Operations and Maintenance Manager works closely with PMO to lead a multi-skilled team of tradesmen and professionals in the delivery of operation and maintenance services in support of fixed plant, equipment, systems, buildings and grounds at OASIS and VESTA sites in Alice Springs, Australia.
The Operations and Maintenance Manager is responsible for the leadership, management, coordination and oversight of approximately 80 personnel, this includes the strategic level planning, organization, coordination, development, training, mentoring, and resource and performance management relevant to the service delivery of the Operations and Maintenance team. The Operations and Maintenance Manager supports the achievement of corporate and program goals, participates in business development, and develops creative solutions to address complex client requirements.
Responsibilities/Duties
* Lead and manage the Operations and Maintenance team.
* Provide leadership, management and vision to enable the delivery of consistently high quality results that meet Statement of Work requirements and strategically focus the Operations and Maintenance team.
* Facilitate the improvement or development of process improvements across the Operations and Maintenance portfolio.
* Drive maintenance Best Practices: Innovate, document, improve work methods, standardize, provide a safe work environment and require safe work practices, train, commission equipment, collect, measure, and analyze key performance indicators to improve processes.
* Recruit, interview, and hire talent for all Operations and Maintenance service areas. Provide leadership, mentorship and training to mid-level managers.
* Develop and manage budget for all Operations and Maintenance labor and equipment service areas.
* Build and maintain close and direct liaison with relevant Government Points of Contact to ensure customer requirements remain well understood and satisfied.
* Deliver corporate and program goals, participate in business development, and develop creative solutions to address complex client requirements
* Ensure compliance with all site environmental health and safety requirements
