**About the opportunity**
Reporting into the Regional Sales Manager, as the Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for a market leading digital PCR portfolio and will manage the VIC/TAS territory.
**Duties**:
- Develop and effectively manage key accounts and key opinion leaders
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across VIC and TAS
- Assist with customer problem solving and troubleshooting
- Be the product expert and maintain superior customer service skills
- Work well cross functionally with internal teams and follow up on leads provided by Marketing and sales team in a proactive manner
- Coordinating and participate in key customer initiatives, including seminars, demonstrations, and presentations
**Skills and Experience**
- A Life Science or related degree and previous research and laboratory experience (PhD in molecular biology or related highly regarded ).
- Laboratory experience with excellent knowledge of current laboratory techniques including, PCR, qPCR and Digital PCR
- Proven track record of results within a life science sales position
- Genomic experience
- Have a natural consultative selling style and have excellent customer service skills
- Flexible to travel
