About the Role:
Toll People is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Officer to join our national payroll team. In this role, you'll be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll for labour hire employees, interpreting EBAs and awards, and ensuring compliance with legislation and company policies.
You'll work closely with internal stakeholders and external clients, providing exceptional service and support while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
* Process weekly payroll, timesheets, and manual checks
* Interpret and apply EBAs and awards
* Maintain employee master data and payroll systems
* Handle payroll queries and resolve discrepancies
* Prepare reports, reconciliations, and end-of-month submissions
* Ensure compliance with PAYG, superannuation, and other statutory obligations
* Support audits, surveys, and general payroll enquiries
What You'll Bring:
* 2+ years' experience in payroll processing
* Strong understanding of EBAs, awards, and payroll legislation
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll systems
* Commitment to confidentiality and ethical practices
