About the role
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Building Supervisor to join our team at Queensland Granny Flats' in Logan Village, QLD. As the Building Supervisor, you will play a key role in overseeing and coordinating the construction of high-quality granny flats and other residential properties. This is a full-time position with opportunities for career growth within our dynamic and expanding company.
What you'll be doing
* Supervising and coordinating the work of construction teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and to the highest standards
* Monitoring progress and quality of work, identifying and resolving any issues that arise
* Liaising with clients, subcontractors and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration
* Overseeing the procurement of materials and equipment to support efficient project delivery
* Ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with relevant building codes, safety regulations and company policies
* Providing hands-on support and guidance to construction workers as needed
* Maintaining accurate records and documentation for each project
What we're looking for
* Significant experience (5+ years) as a Building Supervisor or in a similar construction supervisory role
* Strong understanding of building codes, construction methods and project management principles
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with clients, subcontractors and team members
* Problem-solving skills and the ability to make timely decisions to keep projects on track
* A keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
* Knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations and the ability to ensure compliance
* Relevant qualifications in construction management, building or a related field
* Australian permanent residency or citizenship required for this position
