Your new role
As a workshop supervisor, you will be:
* Overseeing the Light Vehicle Workshop of 4 x LV Mechanics on shift
* Oversee day‑to‑day maintenance and repairs of light vehicles and support equipment
* Allocate jobs, manage workloads, and coordinate technicians and contractors
* Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to OEM/industry standards
* Conduct inspections, diagnose faults, and approve repair quality
* Maintain workshop compliance with site safety systems, permits, and procedures
* Manage parts, tooling, consumables, and maintenance records
* Liaise with production, HME, and planning teams to prioritise fleet availability
* Lead safety interactions, toolbox talks, and continuous improvement initiatives
* Monitor performance, coach team members, and uphold site standards
What you'll need to succeed
* Mechanical Trade Certificate
* Supervisor experience of a workshop
* Supervisor S123 Certificate
* Ability to DIDO to site
* Have a current Coal Board Medical & Standard 11
* Have contactable references
* Ability to complete a pre-employment medical and ability to complete a police check
What you'll get in return
You will be commencing ASAP in the Bowen Basin, working in a workshop on a coal mining site. You will be working a Monday to Friday roster, driving in and out. All camp meals and accommodation will be provided to you, and you will have a later start on a Monday and an early knock on a Friday.
