Overview
AHG is a Plumbing and Building Maintenance company that has a focus on providing comprehensive repairs and maintenance services to Defence Contractors, Northern Territory Government Departments and Darwins large businesses while servicing Darwin's domestic and commercial responsive demands with plumbing and general maintenance repairs.
We are looking for someone who is highly organised, has excellent time management skills and high attention to detail to assist with accounts and general administration functions within our business. This role encompasses all aspects of accounts payable and receivable, and general day to day office administration duties.
The Role Includes
* End to end Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes.
* Statement / Invoices processing from suppliers.
* Daily reconciling of bank statements.
* Ensure all banking and allocation processes are completed in a timely manner.
* Generate customer invoices and account statements.
* Manage inbound and outbound customer calls for overdue accounts.
* Follow up and undertake debt collection processes with customers as required.
* Communicate with internal and external customer account queries.
* Process employee timesheets.
* Collaborating with the Manager to provide day-to-day administrative support.
* Month-end closing process.
Required Experience
* Minimum 2 years of experience in an accounts or similar role.
* Finance qualifications desired but not mandatory.
* Good knowledge of XERO or similar software platform.
* Well-developed time management, accuracy, and prioritization skills.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Exceptional phone manner.
* Experience with Microsoft packages such as Word and Excel.
* Calm and capable attitude.
* Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
