We are seeking an experienced Workshop Supervisor to oversee all workshop operations, including heavy vehicles, forklifts, compactors, and plant machinery.
About the Role
* Supervise a team of technicians in a fast-paced workshop environment
* Coordinate maintenance schedules to ensure all equipment remains service-ready and compliant
* Diagnose and repair modern diesel trucks, forklifts, compactors, and plant equipment
* Prioritize urgent breakdowns to minimize downtime
* Schedule and coordinate procurement, inventory management, and administration tasks
* Maintain accurate records of fleet logs, maintenance history, and compliance documentation
Responsibilities
1. Lead by example, demonstrating hands-on guidance and effective mentoring skills
2. Cooperate with suppliers, contractors, logistics, and operations teams
3. Enforce safety and compliance protocols, including inductions and procedures
4. Manage relationships with subcontractors and internal stakeholders
Requirements
* Demonstrated experience with heavy vehicles and plant machinery
* Proven leadership experience, managing both employees and subcontractors
* Strong communication and stakeholder liaison abilities
* Calm and adaptable approach under pressure
* Competency with maintenance management systems and basic IT tools
About You
We require a qualified diesel mechanic with an HR driver's license (mandatory).
All candidates will undergo a police check and pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol tests.
