THE ROLE
We're seeking an experienced and proactive Accounts Receivable Senior to join a mission-driven finance team. This is a hands-on role managing the end-to-end AR and billing function. While there are minimal supervisory duties initially, this role is designed for growth into leadership and will also play a key part in cross-functional projects and system/process improvements.
In a service-based and emotionally sensitive environment like aged care and home care, success in this role goes beyond numbers where empathy, communication, and care are just as essential as technical accuracy.

Responsibilities:
* Manage the full Accounts Receivable lifecycle, including billing, collections, reconciliations, and reporting.
* Maintain accurate resident records, government funding updates, and direct debit runs.
* Provide empathetic support to residents and families to help them understand fees, billing queries, and funding processes.
* Reconcile expected government subsidies with payments.
* Process interest, refunds, credits, and ensure timely receipting and bank reconciliation.
* Generate and review month-end AR reports and assist in audits and variance analysis.
* Contribute to system upgrades, integration of new service lines, and continuous improvement projects.
Requirements:
* 3+ years' experience in end-to-end AR, billing, or credit control.
* Background in Aged Care, Home Care, or B2C service-based industries highly preferred.
* Naturally empathetic with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to manage delicate billing queries with dignity and clarity.
* Strong Excel skills and confident across finance systems
* Adaptable and solutions-focused, comfortable working in fast-evolving environments.
* Clear written and verbal communication; organised and deadline driven.
* Motivated to grow, lead, and contribute to broader finance transformation initiatives.
