Campbelltown and Camden Hospitals are seeking a Temporary Full Time Admissions and Surgical Bookings Manager to oversee admissions, surgical bookings, and elective surgery waitlist operations across both facilities. This leadership role ensures well‑trained, customer‑focused administrative staff, efficient use of resources, and compliance with National, State, SWSLHD and Hospital targets. The position is responsible for maintaining the Elective Surgery Waitlist, ensuring timely and accurate bookings, and developing policies and procedures that support the effective reception, processing and management of patients, visitors and staff attending the Admissions Department.
* Maintain and manage the Elective Surgery Waitlist to achieve National, State, LHD and Hospital performance targets.
* Oversee waitlist and booking staff to ensure timelines, accuracy and NSW Health requirements are consistently met.
* Develop, implement, revise and document policies and procedures for the reception and processing of patients, visitors and staff.
* Ensure efficient use of resources and provide well‑trained, customer‑focused administrative staff across Admissions and Surgical Bookings.
* Collaborate with CID, other Admission Managers and Perioperative Nurse Managers to ensure compliance with NSW Health, SWSLHD and Hospital policies.

We are looking for a motivated and experienced manager with strong organisational capability, excellent communication skills and the ability to operate in a dynamic, high‑demand environment. You will be confident leading clerical teams, maintaining high standards of accuracy, driving quality improvement and supporting the effective delivery of elective surgical services.
* Ensure accurate and timely processing of elective surgery documentation and placement of patients on the waitlist.
* Maintain procedures for document storage and retention in line with the General Retention and Disposal Authority for Public Health Services.
* Implement and maintain quality improvement processes, including participation in evaluation and routine audits.
* Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to optimise access to surgical services in a fast‑paced environment with competing demands.
* Manage clerical operations, staff, policies, workflows, budgets and FTE for the Admissions Department while meeting NSW Health organisational requirements.
Selection Criteria

* Demonstrated experience in staff management with an ability to lead team performance to achieve service goals and excellent customer service in a high intensity service.
* Excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills with a demonstrated ability to negotiate and communicate effectively with Medical Officers, managers, staff and public.
* Demonstrated experience aligning with current Department and Area Health Service strategies to achieve and maintain elective surgery key performance targets, including coordinating, and implementing quality improvement and change management initiatives.
* Sound knowledge of NSW Health waitlist management, auditing, and patient admission procedures, with experience scheduling surgical and diagnostic procedures, using patient administration systems, and proficiency in Windows-based applications with the ability to quickly learn specialised waitlist management and reporting systems.
* Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
