We are an accounting firm based in Cairns, Far North Queensland. Due to the fast growth of the firm and an internal promotion, we are seeking a motivated and energetic colleague to join our team at our Cairns office.
About the role
Your duties will include, but are not limited to :
- Liaising with clients, including document collation;
- Preparing invoices, and debtor management;
- Assisting clients to access accounting and ATO software;
- Attending to general communication with ATO and ASIC;
- Liaising with, and providing administrative support to Indigenous Corporations;
- Providing easy IT support to staff members;
Assisting the team of accountants with ad-hoc tasks; and
Other general administrative duties as required.

Skills and experience
Requirements :
- Excellence with the Microsoft Office suite;
- Adept at learning new software;
- Must be proactive, organised and be self-motivated; and
- Strong communication skills.
Desirable :
- Experience in a professional environment;
- Sound written and oral communication skills in a professional setting;
- Beginner to intermediate IT skills; and
- Familiarity with people from regional and remote communities.
