Settlement Support and Community Care | Dandenong | Maximum Term - Full-time

- Full-time maximum term position to 30 June 2026, based atour Dandenong site
- Provide case management to humanitarian entrants
- Annual salary is $70,561 + 12% super

About the role

We are seeking applications from experienced CaseManagers to join our Dandenong team. If successful, youwill work collaboratively with your team, clients and relevantstakeholders to provide holistic, strengths-based case management,information and referral services to Humanitarian SettlementProgram (HSP) clients. You will coordinate the implementation ofcase management plans, and play a vital role in ensuring clientshave access to all required services to achieve their settlementoutcomes, whilst providing effective case management to clientsfrom a culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) background.

To be considered for these positions, you will be ableto demonstrate the following key selection criteria:

- A Diploma in Community Services (Case Management) or arelevant qualification with units related to case management orworking with vulnerable people
- A current valid Working with Children Check (Employee) forVictoria
- A current valid Driver's Licence for Victoria
- Experience in providing effective case management toclients from CALD background in the areas of settlement,community detention, asylum seeker programs, community healthor related area in the context of new and emerging refugeecommunities
- Effective interpersonal, cross cultural communication andclient advocacy skills and the ability to liaise effectivelywith contractual partners, mainstream and settlement serviceproviders as well as clients and their communities, andvolunteers
- Demonstrated ability to apply the Strengths Based Model inpractice with clients
- Excellent time management skills and experience meetingreporting requirements
- Sound understanding of current Commonwealth and Statepolicies related to immigration, settlement, asylum seekers,income support and other relevant social policies anddemonstrated ability to respond flexibly to changing policy andprogram needs
- Demonstrated positive values of integrity, reliability,teamwork and professionalism consistent with the AMES AustraliaVision and demonstrated commitment to performance management,quality and continuous improvement principles
- Demonstrated experience in working autonomously as well ascollaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams toachieve/exceed key performance goals
- Excellent written communication, report writing and wordprocessing skills
- Positive organisational skills, including the ability toprioritise work and meet deadlines
- Proficiency with IT standard software such as MS Word, MSExcel, MS PowerPoint, and ability to use Internet and e- mailand other online products
- 2+ years' experience in case management with the humanservice sector in Australia is desirable
