Supervisor Building Maintenance

, working closely with skilled tradespeople and contractors to deliver high-quality maintenance and construction outcomes across the city.
This exciting role will:
Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and specialised trades.
Lead and supervise a dedicated team, motivating them to deliver exceptional service.
Manage projects from start to finish—including estimating, planning, procurement, and compliance.
Liaise with internal departments, contractors, and the community to ensure smooth operations and high customer satisfaction.
Provide technical advice and quality assurance to ensure all works meet standards and expectations.
Monitor budgets and job costs using Council's financial systems.
Champion safety and environmental protection across all work sites.
Support and engage with community volunteers in alignment with Council's Volunteer Engagement Strategy.
Let's hear about you
You're a hands-on leader with a strong background in building maintenance and construction. You bring:
A Certificate III in a building trade and deep industry experience.
Proven leadership and project management skills.
Strong technical knowledge of building works, the National Construction Code, and Australian Standards.
WHS General Induction for Construction Work and a current Class C Driver's Licence are essential.
Excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills.
A collaborative spirit and the ability to build trust with staff, customers, and suppliers.

This position provides:
Competitive salary from $94,319 to to $109,614 per year
Enterprise Agreement pay increases apply
Commencing salary set in line with skills and experience with annual reviews available to support movement through the salary range
38-hour working week, 4-day week as part of a flexible work trial
