Commercial Lawyer (3+ Years PAE)

We are seeking a capable and commercially minded Commercial Lawyer (3+ years PAE) to join our growing practice.
This role is suited to a confident operator who can run matters independently, manage client relationships, and take ownership of their work from start to finish. It is not a role for someone requiring constant supervision or hand-holding.
About the Role
You will be responsible for managing your own files across a range of commercial matters, including transactions, disputes, and advisory work.
You will be expected to:
* take instructions directly from clients
* assess legal and commercial risk
* develop strategy
* progress matters proactively
* communicate clearly and confidently
You will also work with and direct support staff and junior lawyers where appropriate.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a portfolio of commercial matters from inception through to completion
* Provide clear, practical, and commercially focused legal advice
* Draft and review contracts, correspondence, and legal documents to a high standard
* Conduct negotiations and manage disputes where required
* Maintain strong client relationships and act as a trusted advisor
* Manage billing, time recording, and file budgets effectively
* Supervise and utilise junior staff and support resources efficiently
* Contribute to the overall performance and culture of the firm
About You
* Minimum 3+ years post-admission experience in commercial law
* Proven ability to manage files independently
* Confident dealing directly with clients and other stakeholders
* Strong drafting and communication skills
* Commercially aware and outcome-focused
* Organised, proactive, and accountable
* Comfortable working in a high-performance environment

Competitive salary commensurate with experience, with performance-based incentives aligned to billings and contribution.
