About the Role
Ausstudyvisa is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented General Accountant to join our growing team in Perth. This pivotal role supports our financial operations and contributes directly to strategic decision-making.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in accounting principles, with proven experience in financial reporting, planning, cashflow management, taxation, and compliance, ERP system. Key Responsibilities
· Prepare standard financial reports, including profit/loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements periodically to provide accurate financial performance, ensure Compliance Requirements and accuracy in financial records and documentation.
· Monitor cashflow movements, manage operational liquidity, arrange the payment plan. Make full use of the company's surplus cashflow to create financial investment returns.
· Liaise with banks and financial institutions to assist with funding strategies and investment planning.
· Develop and implement the Budgeting Procedures to support sound financial Planning and Control, especially in Cashflow Planning.
· Conduct financial data analysis to closely monitor revenue trends across key business functions, including the visa services and student services, enabling timely insights and proactive decision-making.
· Analyze the correlation between marketing expenditure and revenue generation within relevant business units, providing real-time insights to inform marketing strategies
·Assist in preparation and submission of business Taxation documents, including BAS, GST, FBT; Cooperate and liaise with Taxation advisor to plan the tax burden reasonably and legally.
· Provide expert financial and tax advice on business structuring and operational improvements.
· Manage and optimize ERP systems, including accounting system and operational system; advise on best practices and technology tools.
· Run Payroll monthly and ensure its accuracy in time
· Support operational teams by providing accurate and timely financial data for decision-making.
· Review the jobs of Executive Officers and ensure accuracy of financial information.
· Critically assess accounting practices and identifying areas for improvement
· Supporting function, includingPayment guidelines for clients, AR following and clear up, bank reconciliation, invoicing, service agreements
Ideal Candidate Profile
1. Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or a similar finance role.
2. Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, SAP, and strong command of Microsoft Excel.
3. At least bachelor's degree in accounting or related field; however, master's degree in accounting and/or finance and professional certifications such as CPA/ CA/ ACCA are highly regarded.
4. Bilingual or multilingual skills—especially in Chinese —are strongly preferred.
5. Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills for both internal collaboration and external liaison.
6. Experience working in overseas consultation sectors is a bonus, especially where multicultural team coordination is involved.
