About The Role
Grampians Health – General Medicine & Subspecialty Medicine offers a fractional role within the General medicine team comprising four units.
The role will involve participation in the on-call evening and weekend roster, ward service roster and attendance at a general medicine clinic weekly.
Responsibilities
Participate in on-call evening and weekend rosters
Provide ward service as per scheduled roster
Attend weekly general medicine clinic sessions
Engage in teaching and professional development of Interns, HMOs and Registrars
Operate within your scope of practice under the Grampians Health Credentialing Committee's jurisdiction
Report to the Head of Medicine for operations matters and the Clinical Director, Medical Services for professional matters
About You
Well-qualified and experienced in General Medicine

The General Medicine Department
The General Medicine team is part of the Hospitals East Directorate, overseeing a daily in-patient load of approximately 120 across two campuses and seven units.
The department also provides specialist services in gastroenterology, endocrinology, neurology, rheumatology, obstetric medicine, respiratory, nephrology, oncology, haematology and cardiology, supported by geriatrics, palliative care, rehabilitation and hospital-in-the-home services.
