Shift Leader at Salmon Creek Burger King
About the Role
A Shift Leader is a variable hour employee responsible for managing daily operations in a restaurant location.
* Ensuring all food orders and specialty drinks follow company recipes and are accounted for in the POS system.
* Organizing for shift readiness, positioning team members to meet sales demands, and managing waste and prep systems to control expenses.
* Using equipment, small wares, and products for their intended purpose, troubleshooting minor issues, and reporting any non-working or unsafe equipment concerns.
Guest Service Expectations
* Work with friendliness and a sense of urgency; greet every guest.
* Ensure every guest has an exceptional visit every time they visit the restaurant, resolve issues positively, and demonstrate a guest-first behavior.
* Walk through the entire restaurant, checking parking lot, bathrooms, dining rooms, and talking to guests at their tables, asking how their meal was.
Team Management Responsibilities
* Train and develop existing staff, following training plans and systems in place to achieve targeted goals.
* Ensure employees take breaks as required, minor work limitations are adhered to, and no one on the team performs work duties if they display symptoms of being sick or not fit for duty.
This role requires a Shift Leader to be proficient in all team member positions and handle operations safely when a manager is not present.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and demonstrate personal responsibility, including being on time, in uniform, and treating others with respect.
