Reporting to the Project Manager, the primary purpose of the Senior Project Engineer manage and oversee the co-ordination, QA & technical aspects of wireless Build projects across Ventia portfolio, to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications and provide support to the project manager.
The role is working in our Telecommunications Wireless team and would suit someone with a strong background in Civil works; steel, towers, concrete etc. and working across multiple customers.
This is a full-time, permanent role with an attractive salary package on offer based from our Cremorne, Victorian offices, but open to applications from other states.
Responsibilities include:
1. Coordination & management of all internal & external Project Quality Assurance contract requirements.
2. Subcontractor selection, onboarding and compliance engagement & Coordination of Internal teams in conjunction with Ventia Field Managers.
3. Preparation/collation of all supporting documentation as required to complete Scope of Works
4. Ensure completed works are checked and delivered at various milestones.
5. Ensure quality processes are followed and defects are minimised and rectified as necessary.
6. Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost control measures.
7. Prepare progress, risk and financial reports and updates for internal and external stakeholders.
8. Support contract negotiation and administration with suppliers and subcontractors.
9. Managing all construction activities to plan and schedule with works with e2e accountability of PE deliverables and ensuring Novus (Ventia planning tool) is updated daily.
10. Assist the PM to ensure the works are delivered In accordance with program, on budget and to specification.
About You
To be successful in your application you will have a Bachelors degree in Engineer, Project Manager or similar, accompanied by experience in mobile deployment, Microwave & LTE technologies.
You will also possess:
11. Strong experience in Telecommunications construction and strong knowledge of Cquality assurance processes, environmental standards, processes and practices and safe work systems
12. Experience in major mobile base station (desirable)/ site construction coordination including both greenfield & brownfield installations
13. Demonstrated experience in reviewing design documentation, in understanding drawings, in providing constructability reviews and implementing final design plans and specifications.
14. Demonstrated financial and commercial acumen
15. Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and able to prioritise multiple customers.
