We are seeking an experienced and proactive Safety Manager to join our team on the San Remo Bridge project in Victoria. Reporting directly to the Construction Manager, this is a site-based leadership role responsible for driving a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance, and providing hands‐on support to project delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage all site safety activities and compliance requirements
* Develop, review and maintain the Site Management Plan (SMP)
* Facilitate and actively participate in toolbox talks and safety meetings
* Conduct daily, weekly and monthly site inspections and audits
* Drive continuous improvement through safety initiatives and campaigns
* Oversee psychosocial risk assessments, audits and workforce surveys
* Monitor and report on safety performance, trends and corrective actions
* Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and legislative requirements
* Manage subcontractor safety onboarding and ongoing compliance
* Prepare and deliver detailed safety reports for project and business leadership
* Mentor and support site-based safety personnel to build capability and performance
Qualifications
* Minimum 5+ years' experience in a HSE Advisor, Senior HSE Advisor or similar role
* Certificate IV in WHS required
* Previous leadership or management experience highly regarded
* Experience working on major construction, civil or infrastructure projects
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* A proactive approach to safety leadership and culture development
* Proficiency in Myosh, Microsoft Office 365 and SafetyCulture platforms highly regarded
