About the role
Ausdig (SA) Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Plant Operator to join our team on a casual basis. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery and equipment on civil construction sites in the Adelaide / South Australia region. You will need a strong background in plant and machinery operation and a commitment to safety and high-quality work.
What you'll be doing
1. Safely operate and maintain a range of heavy construction equipment, excavators, loaders, and graders in particular
2. Comply with all relevant safety regulations and site procedures
3. Perform pre-start checks and report any maintenance issues or concerns
4. Work collaboratively with the site crew to complete projects on time and to the required standard
5. Contribute to the continuous improvement of plant and equipment operations
What we're looking for
1. Proven experience as a Plant Operator in the civil construction industry
2. Relevant licenses and certifications, including a White Card, Plant & Machinery Tickets, Driver's License class MR and above. RIW card is preferable but not necessary.
3. Strong understanding of safety procedures and a commitment to safe work practices
4. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
5. Good communication and teamwork skills
6. Ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment
