Swanson Surveying is seeking a Cadastral Land Surveyor to join our head office in Geelong. We are seeking an intermediate to experienced surveyor with proven land surveying experience and excellent communication skills. In this position, you will contribute to the accuracy and integrity of the land surveying processes and the cadastre, ensuring that all projects meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
* Survey Tasks
o Involved in various land surveying projects under the guidance of team leaders and project managers including:
+ Title re-establishment surveys and pegging Title boundaries
+ Feature and level surveys
+ AHD/MGA surveys
+ Asset recording
+ General land surveying tasks
o Strong commitment to accuracy, adherence to safety standards, and maintenance of surveying equipment will be crucial to your role in delivering high-quality data and reports.
o Upload data files, review plans, and prepare and draft plans for client delivery.
o Demonstrate the ability to work independently on basic projects, making informed decisions in both office and field settings.
o Proactively seek clarification through questions or additional research as needed.
o Maintain and calibrate surveying equipment.
o Adhere to site protocols and office procedures to work safely and maintain standards.
o Fulfil other duties as required by management and other department personnel.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
* Tertiary or relevant qualification in Land Surveying or a related field is required.
* Proficiency in CAD, Trimble Business Centre, Trimble Total Station, and Trimble GNSS equipment or similar.
* Clean driving license
* Australian permanent residency or citizenship
* Candidates must have 2-5 years of land surveying experience.
