Overview
A vacancy is available for a Process Engineer at ProxaAustralia. The successful Process Engineer applicant will be working in the Water Treatment Plant (WTP) project environment in Western Australia.
For more than 25 years, Proxa has been a leading global water treatment company offering complete solutions that help minimize waste and improve the water cycle.
Proxa's range of water treatment services covers the entire water cycle from consulting and design, research and development, engineering and construction, and plant modernization to operational management, maintenance, repairs, after-market service, chemicals, consumables and spares. The process engineer will be required to provide support across all of these sectors.
A Process Engineer is a mid-level position that will report to the Engineering Manager and has the responsibility of executing Wastewater Treatment Plant and Biological Treatment Plant projects across the Proxa Group of Companies. The Process Engineer works closely with senior engineers and provides guidance to junior engineers.
The role demands a combination of technical expertise and leadership abilities. The successful candidate will be performing in the following fields, thus showing experience in the below will be beneficial:
Responsibilities
* Water Treatment plant conceptual design
o Selecting unit Processes
o Costing and submitting proposals
* Process Design
o Detailed Process Design
o P&ID development
o Cross discipline interfacing
* Procurement
o RFQs
o Supplier adjudication
* Installation support
o Supervision of construction teams
o Mechanical and Electrical guidance
* Commissioning
o Entire Commissioning cycle
* Leadership and Mentorship
o Upskilling Junior Engineers
* Business Case minded
o Understanding options and presenting these to client
* Administration
o Integration into procedures

Qualifications
* BSc (chemical) or BEng (chemical) (minimum requirement)
* MSc or MEng engineering (ideal)
* Minimum 5 years of process engineering experience
* Minimum 3 years in the water treatment industry experience
* Minimum 2 years of project engineering/execution
* Project or Package Management experience
* Knowledge in chemical plant and equipment design, construction, installation, commissioning and Optimization
* Driver's license
* Computer Literacy, especially in MS Office products

Salary range: $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
