Your new role
As a Maintenance Fitter, you will be responsible for maintaining machinery, equipment and infrastructure across multiple facilities. Your duties will include:
* Light steel and stainless-steel fabrication, including welding
* Mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving across production equipment
* Supporting workflow improvement and machine optimisation, including automation and robotics
* Conducting scheduled maintenance on scrubbers and other key machinery
* Liaising with subcontractors (electricians, plumbers, etc.)
* Repairing and replacing plastic piping and associated fittings
* Maintaining clean, safe and compliant work areas
* Assisting with stock and consumable movement
* Purchasing components and consumables as requested
* Autonomously managing maintenance schedules and project tasks
* Operating onsite forklifts
What you'll need to succeed
* Trade qualification in Fitting & Machining
* Previous experience in maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environment
* Current Forklift Licence
* Strong WHS awareness and commitment to safe work practices
* Ability to manage deadlines, adapt to changing priorities and work independently
* Positive, proactive, "can-do" attitude
* Plumbing fitting experience & basic electrical fitting knowledge is a bonus
