Assistant in Nursing - Emergency Department
As an Assistant in Nursing, you will play a vital part in supporting the Emergency Department team to deliver high-quality, culturally safe, person-centred care.
Key Responsibilities
Provide safe, compassionate care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Assist with assessing, planning, and delivering individualised patient care.
Observe and report patient needs, changes, and concerns promptly.
Complete delegated tasks including restocking, equipment checks, maintaining a clean environment, and clerical duties.
Support a culturally safe, physically safe, and emotionally supportive care environment.
Participate in incident reporting and follow all guidelines, protocols, and procedures.
About You
You are a compassionate, motivated team-focused individual with a commitment to providing high-quality person-centred care.
Skills & Attributes
Ability to provide safe, respectful, and empathetic care to patients.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
Willingness to follow direction, accept guidance, and work under RN supervision.
Basic understanding of quality and safety processes.
Ability to learn and apply unit routines, digital systems, and clinical procedures.
Flexibility, reliability, and enthusiasm for working in a dynamic ED setting.
Certificate III in a relevant healthcare field (highly regarded)
