The Role of a Disability Support Worker:
In this meaningful role, you will have the opportunity to provide active support and assistance to individuals with disabilities in Cairns.
The focal responsibilities of this position include:
* Assisting daily living activities such as personal care, mobility aids and household tasks;
* Cultivating positive relationships built on trust, respect and empathy; and,
* Maintaining accurate records for client notes.
The successful candidate will be someone who is passionate about supporting people with disabilities to live fulfilling lives. You should possess excellent interpersonal skills, patience persistence (especially during challenging situations), reliable transportation knowledge of Cairns region (e.g., surrounding suburbs), along with basic first aid training.
