Machine Operator / Sheet Metal Fabricator – Manufacturing

H People are partnering with a well-established and growing sheet metal manufacturing company in Richlands to recruit an experienced Machine Operator / Sheet Metal Fabricator for their production team.
This role suits someone with hands-on experience operating industrial machinery in a fabrication or manufacturing environment and who takes pride in producing high-quality work in a safety-focused workplace.
About the Role
As part of the production team, you will be responsible for operating sheet metal machinery, interpreting technical drawings, and ensuring finished products meet quality specifications and production deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
* Set up and operate sheet metal machinery including press brakes, laser cutters, roll formers and purlin machines
* Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints and job cards
* Carry out quality checks and product inspections
* Perform basic machine maintenance and fault-finding
* Meet daily production targets in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
* Maintain a clean, organised and safe work area
* Follow WHS procedures and company policies
About You
* Previous experience as a Machine Operator, Sheet Metal Worker or Fabricator
* Confident operating a range of manufacturing and fabrication machinery
* Strong technical drawing interpretation skills
* High attention to detail and quality standards
* Reliable, punctual and safety-focused
* Current forklift licence (essential)
* Willing to complete a pre-employment drug & alcohol screen
Highly Regarded
* Trade qualification in sheet metal fabrication or metal trades
* Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
