As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for creating exquisite pastries and desserts that delight our guests and uphold our reputation for excellence.Prepare and present a wide range of high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goodsAssist in developing new menu items and refining existing recipesMaintain the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation in the pastry kitchenCollaborate effectively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operationsManage inventory, place orders, and control costs for pastry ingredients and suppliesTrain and supervise junior pastry staff, fostering their skill developmentCollaborate with the sous chef and head chef to maintain kitchen efficiencyEnsure consistent quality and presentation of all pastry itemsContribute creative ideas for special events and seasonal menu changesAdapt to changing priorities and maintain efficiency during peak service timesStay current with pastry trends and techniques to continually improve our offerings.QualificationsTrade Qualification in Commercial Cookery or patisserieCompleted culinary training or apprenticeshipMinimum of 2 years of experience as a Demi Chef or equivalent role in pastryExtensive knowledge of pastry techniques, recipes, and current trendsProven ability to create visually stunning and delicious dessertsExcellent communication skills in English, both verbal and writtenFood safety and hygiene certificationStrong organisational and time management skillsAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environmentCreativity and innovation in dessert presentation and flavor combinationsTeam-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach to kitchen operationsAttention to detail and commitment to consistent, high-quality outputFlexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays as neededAdditional InformationBring passion and dedication to excellence, and we will recognise your contribution with a variety of benefits, rewards and development opportunities.
