Council is seeking to appoint a permanent full time Operator to contribute to Council’s success.
Work life balance, with your team currently trialling a 4 day week.
Based at Gladstone depot – finishing at 3.34pm

About the Role
The purpose of this position is to effectively and safely operate Council’s plant and equipment, to undertake construction and maintenance civil infrastructure tasks. This includes undertaking a wide range of maintenance, repairs and improvement activities within the Gladstone Region.
You will bring:
- Previous experience, ticket and competency operating two (2) or more of the following plant: Front-end Loader, Backhoe, Grader, Excavator, Roller, Dozer.
- Demonstrated labouring skills to carry out maintenance activities on a daily basis.
- Experience and competency operating under a current Heavy Rigid (HR) licence.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Sound communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
- Basic keyboard skills and experience and competency using technical devices.
- Current Work Safely in the Construction Industry (White Card).

This position requires immunisation against Hepatitis A/B and Tetanus.
