Job Description

As a senior professional in the field of distribution and business development, you will play a pivotal role in cultivating strong relationships with clients and prospects, identifying key investor trends, and delivering best-in-class business solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Build and maintain a deep understanding of the Australian institutional market, including key clients, consultants, and market dynamics.
* Develop strategic engagement plans for priority clients and prospects, ensuring a coordinated approach across internal teams.
* Represent the firm in meetings, roadshows, and industry events, delivering compelling presentations and insights to senior stakeholders.
Capital Raising & Strategic Growth
* Align business development efforts with capital raising priorities, identifying new opportunities in collaboration with investment and distribution teams.
* Support revenue growth and client retention strategies by contributing to fee negotiations and mandate structuring.
Relationship Management
* Lead proactive client engagement, ensuring timely delivery of updates, reporting, and strategic reviews.
* Design and manage client plans that reflect key decision-makers, engagement touchpoints, and tailored communication strategies.
* Act as the primary escalation point for client issues, ensuring swift resolution and continuous improvement.
Internal Collaboration & Leadership
* Champion the use of CRM tools to enhance transparency and pipeline visibility across the team.
* Contribute to a collaborative culture by sharing insights, removing roadblocks, and advocating for client needs internally.
Requirements:
* Minimum 5 years' experience in institutional business development or relationship management within investment management.
* Strong knowledge of investment strategies, institutional sales processes, and client servicing models.
* Strong technical knowledge and skills within alternative investments - CFA or CAIA qualifications are highly regarded.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in Finance, Economics, Business, or related fields.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
