About the role
Attention Carpentry & Plastering Tradesmen and Labourers in the Rockhampton/Yeppoon/Gladstone area of QLD. Iconic Construction Industries is seeking to build an enthusiastic construction crew, to assist in the successful delivery of a range of commercial, residential and maintenance projects. This is an excellent opportunity to work with an industry-leading construction company. Initially casual roles leading to potential full-time roles currently available.
What you'll be doing
1. If a Tradesman, carryout duties per your trade.
2. Carpentry tradesmen must hold any recognised trade qualification to perform carpentry duties.
3. Plastering tradesmen must hold any recognised trade qualification to perform plastering duties.
4. If a labourer, carryout duties as directed by Tradesman and Site Supervisor.
5. Operating hand and power tools safely and effectively
6. Helping to prepare and maintain work areas, materials and equipment
7. Following all health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment
8. Contributing to the efficient and timely completion of construction projects
What we're looking for
1. Utilise your own tools, and keep in good working order
2. Current Drivers Licence and Construction Induction (White) Card
3. Minimum 1 year experience in construction
4. Construction experience from any type of construction work (commercial, residential, or other) will be accepted towards the minimum requirement.
5. Enthusiasm for working in a hands-on environment and a commitment to safety
6. The ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
7. Good communication and problem-solving skills
8. Candidates must have any legal work rights in Australia.
