This role reports directly to the Financial Controller and plays a key part in statutory reporting, group consolidation, audit management, and shareholder reporting across our global operations.
This is a rare opportunity to step into a technically challenging group finance role within a centralised head office environment, where you will gain international exposure and work closely with senior leaders and shareholders.What You'll Be DoingIn this role, you will play a central part in ensuring the financial integrity and governance of Perilya's Group operations.
Your key responsibilities will include:Statutory Accounts & Compliance – Prepare statutory accounts in line with AASB, IFRS, and Corporations Act requirements, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance with all relevant regulations.Group Consolidation – Lead the consolidation of multiple domestic and international entities, including foreign currency translation, intercompany reconciliations, and ownership adjustments to deliver accurate group financial results.Audit & Assurance – Manage the end-to-end external audit process, acting as the primary contact for auditors, preparing supporting workpapers, and ensuring that all deliverables are complete, accurate, and audit-ready.Shareholder & Parent Company Reporting – Support quarterly, half-yearly, and annual reporting cycles for Perilya's parent company in China, ensuring submissions are accurate, timely, and aligned with shareholder governance standards.Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis – Contribute to the Group's planning processes, including consolidation of budgets and forecasts, detailed variance analysis, and providing insights to support decision-making at senior leadership and Board level.Governance & Internal Controls – Maintain and update Group accounting policies, procedures, and internal control frameworks, ensuring compliance with Delegations of Authority and broader corporate governance requirements.Systems & Process Improvement – Drive efficiency and accuracy across ERP and reporting systems (Pronto), supporting system enhancements, automation initiatives, and process optimisation projects.What You Will BringYou will be a technically strong accountant who enjoys complex, multi-entity environments and has a passion for governance and accuracy.
You will bring:CPA or CA qualification (mandatory).
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.4–6 years' experience in statutory reporting and group consolidation.Strong technical knowledge of AASB and Corporations Act requirements.Experience working with external auditors and preparing technical papers.Proficiency with ERP systems (Pronto or equivalent) and advanced Excel.Experience in mining/resources or other capital-intensive industries (desirable).
Exposure to shareholder or multinational group reporting (desirable).
