About the role
TradeWise Renovations is currently seeking qualified Carpenters & General Tradesmen to join our team on a full-time basis.
We specialise in residential Kitchen, Bathroom and Interior Renovations, delivering high- quality outcomes for our clients across Canberra. This role suits someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys variety, and wants to be part of a tight-knit, professional team.
You'll be hands-on across a range of residential renovation projects, contributing your skills to deliver consistent, high-standard results.
What you'll be doing - Carpenter Role
A wide variety of tasks associated with all areas of the renovation process some of which include:
* Measuring, cutting, and assembling materials for frameworks, partitions, cabinetry, and other structures
* Read and interpret construction plans to determine the materials required and the methods of construction
* Operate power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently
* Install finished woodwork and hardware, including doors, stairs, trim, and custom-built cabinetry
* Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as electricians and plumbers, to ensure seamless project completion
* Maintain a safe, organised, and efficient work environment
What we're looking for - Carpenter Role
* Completed formal trade qualification in Carpentry and Joinery
* We are seeking an experienced carpenter and joiner with minimum 3 years experience in a similar role, preferably in the residential construction or renovation sector
* Minimum 3+ years of carpentry experience is required for this position
* Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
* Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify and resolve issues on-site
* Strong attention to detail and high-quality workmanship
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with the broader project team
* Commitment to workplace health and safety practices
* Must have Valid Manual Drivers Licence, Silica Awareness Training, Asbestos Training & White Card.
* Australian work rights are required for this position
What we're looking for - General Tradesperson
Applications are open for all qualified and skilled Tradespeople. Our work involves a wide range of tasks across all trades. We are looking for an all rounder tradesperson who comfortable working across different aspects of renovation and willing to jump in across a variety of day-to-day tasks.
Requirements:
* Someone who is well presented and reliable.
* Must have valid manual drivers licence and own transport
* Formal trade qualifications accepted include Carpentry, Plumbing, Electrical, Painting, Tiling, Plastering, or any recognised trade qualification
* Experience in the residential construction and renovations sector
* Strong attention to detail and high-quality workmanship
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with the broader project team
* Commitment to workplace health and safety practices
* Must have White Card, Asbestos Awareness & Silica Awareness training.
