About the role
Bunge is seeking an experienced and strategic Electrical Engineering Manager to lead our Electrical, Electronic and Control Systems function within the Maintenance & Engineering team, based in Adelaide.
This pivotal role provides engineering leadership across a diverse portfolio of maintenance and capital works projects spanning our Australian and New Zealand operations.
You will oversee a team of Electrical Engineers while also managing your own project portfolio, ensuring safe, compliant and efficient delivery of engineering solutions in industrial environments. With a project portfolio of up to $15 million and responsibility for driving engineering standards, this role plays a critical part in shaping Bunge's long-term asset performance and project capability.
Duties include
* Provide leadership, direction and mentoring to a team of Electrical Engineers.
* Oversee the delivery of Electrical, Electronic and Control Systems projects, ensuring quality, safety, financial and time objectives are achieved.
* Manage your own portfolio of capital works and maintenance projects from concept through to commissioning and handover.
* Lead safety-in-design processes, risk assessments, and compliance with Codes, Standards and Regulations.
* Prepare detailed project documentation including concepts, budgets, design briefs, tenders and specifications.
* Manage design functions (in-house and external) and ensure deliverables meet business expectations.
* Conduct site inspections and provide engineering expertise to operations and maintenance teams.
* Evaluate progress claims, budgets, cost forecasts and contractual documentation.
* Support strategic planning including long-term capital forecasting and asset management strategies
About you
* Degree in Electrical Engineering (or higher).
* 15+ years' experience in industrial Electrical Engineering roles.
* Demonstrated experience leading professional engineering teams.
* Strong background in materials handling, power, control and automation systems.
* Proven capability delivering large-scale engineering projects safely, on time and within budget.
* Strong financial and contractual acumen.
* Proficient with AutoCAD and engineering design tools.
* Excellent knowledge of relevant Codes, Acts, Standards and Regulations.
* Membership with Engineers Australia (preferred).
* A strong commitment to safety, compliance and engineering excellence.
* Current unrestricted C class driver's licence.
