Business Development Manager, Training and Certification

The Training Business Development Manager – Technical (BDM) is accountable for developing Training Services revenue with National Security Customers. The BDM will develop strategic segment plans, sales enablement goals, strategies, and forecasting for AWS Training. The BDM will work with field teams to build and maintain a pipeline of training opportunities and provide regular forecasts and business reviews to senior management.
To be successful in this position, you must be a self-starter who is prepared to Think Big and Dive Deep. The BDM will create and nurture relationships with sales and partner development teams, helping them drive the training business. BDMs conduct sales enablement activities to help internal teams understand AWS Training offerings, how to position them with their customers and partners, and keep them up to speed on new programs, policies, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain a pipeline of training opportunities and provide regular forecasts.
Build detailed training plans or proposals to accelerate customer adoption of AWS Services.
Build and maintain customer relationships to ensure flawless execution of training plans.
Evangelize AWS Training at company and industry events.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of experience directly supporting customers in a federal contract environment.
Experience conducting Training Needs Assessments and developing Training Plans.
Business development and/or sales experience, preferably in the IT Training industry.
Effective verbal and written communication skills with experience engaging and presenting to senior executives (CXO level).
Preferred Qualifications
A technical background in engineering or computer science.
Knowledge of Amazon Web Services or Cloud Computing concepts.
Marketing, operations, and training delivery experience.
Master's Degree, and/or Computer Science or Math background highly desired; working knowledge of software development practices and technologies highly desired.
