About the Role
A proactive and energetic professional is required to support our business in ensuring that issues are understood, controls are implemented, and compliance and assurance measures reviewed.
This role is key in delivering strong alignment between operational risks and health and safety controls, enabling safety improvements and standardisation of processes across our network.
The successful candidate will work closely with frontline teams and report to a Business Unit General Manager and Senior Health & Safety Business Partner.

Key Responsibilities
* Supporting operational leaders on risk management
* Building operational teams' health and safety capacity by providing specialist advice, support, and coaching
* Implementing the Boral Health & Safety Strategy and Business Unit Plan
* Facilitating incident response and subsequent analysis and learnings
* Supporting operations in preparation, management, and response to HSE Regulatory Compliance inspections, audits, statutory reports, and prescribed incident notifications
* Ensuring Assurance Audits are completed in line with the Audit and Assurance Program and monitoring closeout of WHS actions

Required Skills and Qualifications
* A curious mind, open to new ideas and different approaches
* Proven experience in a similar role, ideally with skills in incident investigations and facilitating learnings from incidents
* Experience in a high-risk environment, particularly in quarries, highly regarded
* Proven ability to implement successful organisational change within complex environments
* Knowledge of WHS regulations, systems, processes, and information systems
* Cert IV or Diploma in Work Health & Safety
* Excellent interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and communication skills, with a natural ability to build solid relationships
